Chewing more and proper probiotics. Also, ironically, quitting booze.

The first two are rather mundane, but the last one is kinda interesting. Turns out, bacteria don't like alcohol! Including gut fauna!

Yes. Chewing mixes the initial salival enzymes more evenly with your food and also breaks it down further into smaller pieces. Smaller pieces = more surface area total = easier for bacteria to get at it.

This isn’t a healthy tip so take from this what you will. If you reduce your activity and keep your calorie intake the same, you will gain weight rather quickly. You will have to keep an eye on your overall health markers but I can tell you from when I gained the largest amount of my weight it was from when my job became sedentary.
